Ikigai Dental was founded by two passionate sisters, Dr. Yi Yin and Dr. Yi Xing. We chose the name “Ikigai” because dentistry is not just our profession—it’s our purpose.

Meet the Sisters Behind Ikigai Dental
Dr. Yi Yin
– PG Dip in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedic
(London Dental Institute)
Dr Yi Yin graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree (BDS) with distinction in 2019 from Penang International Dental College (PIDC), earning the Silver Medal Award for second rank.
Founded on her strong beliefs in the practice of comprehensive dentistry which requires an integrative approach to biology, mechanics and aesthetics in dentistry, she firmly believes in continuous learning to provide optimal care for her patients.
Dr Yi Yin has helped many patients achieve and maintain healthy, beautiful smiles with her gentle touch, kindness and compassion.
“Find joy in the ordinary” resonates closely with Dr Yi Yin as she journeys through her life within and outside of dentistry. She strives to create a relaxing and enjoyable experience while addressing her patients’ needs.
Dr. Yi Xing
– MFD RCS (Ireland)
Dr. Yi Xing graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from PIDC in 2018 and served in the government health ministry for 3 years in Sabah before joining the private practice.
With keen interests in aesthetic, restorative, and pediatric dentistry, she believes dentistry is about building lasting relationships and helping patients feel confident.
Whether it’s a routine cleaning, a cosmetic enhancement, or restorative work, she takes pride in offering personalised care that emphasises patient comfort, education, and the latest in dental technology.
